If I am an NGO staff or teacher/student in social work stream, can I use the SWD Departmental Library? What rules should I follow? |

Persons who belong to either one of the following categories are eligible to use the SWD Departmental Library:
| (a) |
social work staff of non-governmental organisations; or |
| (b) |
social work teachers and social work students of local universities and other selected post secondary colleges if recommended by their social work departmental heads of the institutions. | Eligible users must apply for Library cards in order to use the Library. Are there any other ways to check if certain book or publication is collected by the Library apart from visiting it in person? |

You can use the SWD's Online Library Searching System to check by title, author, publisher/producer, subject area or category to see if certain book or publication is in its collection.

Can I use the Library outside normal office hours?

The normal opening hours of the Library are from 9:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. on weekdays and closed on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. The library also stays open at the lunch breaks, i.e., from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays to facilitate those eligible users who cannot use the Library during normal office hours.
