What are the arrangement for providing volunteer services to the residents of correctional/residential home?

What is the Volunteer Scheme for Probationers ? How to apply to become a volunteer ?

The Scheme aims at promoting greater community involvement in helping probationers re-integrate into the community. The services rendered by the volunteers include tutorial service, developing friendship with probationers, providing them guidance for recreational activities, organizing group and programme activities, etc. Applicants should be aged 21 or above and have completed F.5 or above. Application forms can be obtained from any probation office of the Social Welfare Department; application can also be made on-line through <<On-line Volunteer Registration>>of <<Volunteering and Charitable Activities>> of <<Housing & Social Services>> under GovHK at  http://www.gov.hk/en/residents/housing/volunteering/index.htm. For registration, personal details would be required to be entered while <<Probationers>> should be selected as service target.
