If I am an NGO staff or teacher/student in social work stream, can I use the SWD Departmental Library? What rules should I follow? |

Persons who belong to either one of the following categories are eligible to use the SWD Departmental Library:
| (a) |
social work staff of non-governmental organisations; or |
| (b) |
social work teachers and social work students of local universities and other selected post secondary colleges if recommended by their social work departmental heads of the institutions. |
Eligible users must apply for Library cards in order to use the Library. For details, please contact our Librarian at 2575 4321 Ext.311. |

Are there any other ways to check if certain book or publication is collected by the Library apart from visiting it in person? |

You can use the SWD's Online Library Searching System to check by title, author, publisher/producer, subject area or category to see if certain book or publication is in its collection.

Can I use the Library outside normal office hours?

The normal opening hours of the Library are from 9:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. on weekdays and closed on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. The library also stays open at the lunch breaks, i.e., from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays to facilitate those eligible users who cannot use the Library during normal office hours.
