Welfare payment during Lunar New Year Holidays

     Recipients of Comprehensive Social Security Assistance whose autopay day falls on a public holiday between January 28 and 31 (inclusive) will receive advance payment on January 27, a spokesman for the Social Welfare Department said.

     Recipients of Social Security Allowance whose autopay day falls on a public holiday during the same period will get their payments on either January 27 or February 1.

     In case of doubt, recipients are advised to contact their respective social security field units.
