Welfare payment arrangements during public holidays in April

The Social Welfare Department says that there will be special arrangements for welfare payment recipients whose pay day falls on public holidays during Ching Ming Festival and Easter.

For recipients of Comprehensive Social Security Assistance who have their pay day falls on April 4 or 5 will receive advance payments on April 3. For those who have their pay day falling between April 9 and April 12 will receive their advance payment on April 8.

As for recipients of the Social Security Allowance (SSA) whose pay day falls on April 4 or 5 will receive their payments on April 3 or April 6. As for SSA recipients who have their payment falls between April 9 and 12, they will receive their payments on either April 8 or 13.

In case of doubt, recipients are advised to contact their respective social security field units.
