Hotlines offer counselling service
The Social Welfare Department has set up a hotline 9184 3775 manned by clinical psychologists to give people useful information about dealing with the traumatic reaction and emotional stress of those affected by the tsunami caused by the earthquake in Sumutra, Indonesia. The hotline operates daily from 9am to 10 pm.
Run by Caritas- Hong Kong, another hotline 2810 0092 is also now in operation to offer emotional support for Asian migrant domestic workers. The service is offered in Indonesian, Thai and English and operates daily from 10am to 5pm.
