CONTRACT MANAGEMENT

The aim of the Contract Management Section is to carry out the long-term competitive bidding strategy for the allocation of welfare services so that best value services can be secured. Major duties include:

	the development and implementation of policy and procedures for the allocation of welfare services through competitive bidding;
	the monitoring of contract compliance, and
	the benchmarking of performance standards to ensure continuous improvement of service quality.

Competitive Bidding

Key features include:

Vetting Mechanism	Tendering process based on the Government's Stores and Procurement Regulations and subject to approval of the Central Tender Board

Management of Contract

The monitoring of service performance include:

	Regular audits of service statistics and information;
	Benchmarking of performance standards;
	Regular service reviews;
	Spot checks;
	Complaints investigation; and
	User satisfaction surveys.
