District Elderly Community Centres (DECC) is a type of community support services at district level to enable elders to remain in the community and to lead a healthy, respectful and dignified life. DECCs also collaborate with other service units in the district and cooperate to build a caring community with better use of community resources.

With effect from 1 April 2004, apart from handling direct applications from elders who live in the community for Long Term Care Services for Elders, DECCs also receive referrals from IFSCs and MSSUs for new applications of Long Term Care Services for Elders.
