Residential Services for Abused Women

Service Description
Four refuge centres provide temporary accommodation to females and their children in face of domestic violence or family crisis, they are:

Harmony House

 

*

Serene Court

 

*

Sunrise Court

*

Target Group
Women with or without children who are in immediate danger of violence or having serious personal or family problems. Cases admitted to the refuge centres may stay at the refuge for two weeks but the period of stay may be extended to a maximum period of 3 months.

Application Procedures
The four refuge centres accept referrals from social workers and the Police. Request for the service can be made through casework service units of Social Welfare Department (
list of IFSCs/ISCs and MSSUs can be downloaded here). Direct applications to the refuge centres are also accepted. The refuge centres admit cases on a 24-hour-basis.
