Child & Adolescent Mental Health Community Support Project

Project Aim
|
The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Community Support Project (the Project) is developed by the Social Welfare Department and the Hospital Authority to provide early identification and early intervention services to children and adolescents with mental health problems (e.g. depressed mood, anxiety).
| Service Targets
|
The primary service targets of the Project are children and adolescents aged 6 to 18 presenting mild to moderate mental health problems (e.g. depressed mood, anxiety).
| Project Structure

Five Project Teams have been established to provide services to the public of five different clusters. They are: |

Kowloon West Team - stationed at Kwai Chung Hospital |

Consultation Services

Provide advisory and consultation services on mental health problems to social workers, school personnel, and other youth workers | |

Supportive Intervention Services

Establish and maintain a community support network for service targets to broaden social support for them and their families; and |

Provide direct counseling services on mental health problems related to emotion to service targets | |
