Support and Assistance for Tetraplegic Patients living in the Community 

To assist the tetraplegic patients to live and integrate into the community, the Department has undertaken to improve the community care, support services and financial assistance to them.  MSWs render counseling and support services to tetraplegic patients and their families, connecting them to the new service provision, assisting them to achieve their rehabilitation plan through the enhanced financial and community support services.   

Medical Fee Waiver Mechanism - e-Waiving System

An IT program, namely the e-Waiving System has been rolled out by Hospital Authority at Medical Social Services Units in March 2004 to speed up the process of waiving assessment.
