'Enhancing Employment of People with Disabilities through Small Enterprise' Project
The objective of the Project is to enhance the employment of people with disabilities through market-driven approach and direct creation of more work opportunities for people with disabilities. Through the grant of seed money to non-governmental organizations, the Project supports the creation of small enterprises/businesses to ensure people with disabilities can enjoy genuine employment in a carefully planned and sympathetic working environment.
Bona-fide charitable non-governmental organizations recognized under Inland Revenue Ordinance (Cap. 112) Section 88 which have their own distinct legal entities authorized to carry out business activities in Hong Kong can apply for the grants from the Project. With effect from 23 November 2006, the following enhanced measures are implemented for new applications of the Project:

The ratio of employees with disabilities for each business will be revised from not less than 60% to not less than 50%; and |

The funding period will be extended from a maximum of one year to two years from the time of business commencement, with the funding ceiling of $2 million per business remaining unchanged. | Please click here to download the Guidebook and application form .
