Service Description
It provides training and care to mildly disabled pre-schoolers in an ordinary kindergarten-cum-child care centre with a view to facilitating their future integration into the mainstream education as well as in the society.
Eligibility for the Service
Children aged two to six who are either:
 |
mildly mentally handicapped; |
|
slightly physically handicapped and without serious mobility problem; |
|
mildly or moderately auditorily impaired; |
|
mildly or moderately visually impaired; or |
|
autistic. |
Application Procedures
Referrals can be made by social workers or staff of rehabilitation service units to the Central Referral System for Rehabilitation Services of the Social Welfare Department.
Fees and Charges
No additional charge apart from the fees for the Kindergarten-cum-Child Care Centre.
