Integrated Children and Youth Services Centres (ICYSCs)

Service Description
Integrated Children and Youth Services Centres (ICYSCs) provide a wide range of services including children and youth centre services, outreaching social work and school social work services under one management to meet the multifarious needs of children and youth aged 6-24.

With the flexibility in deploying manpower and other resources and through adopting different service models/approaches, ICYSCs provide four core programmes, i.e. guidance and counselling, supportive service for young people in disadvantaged circumstances, socialisation programmes and development of social responsibility and competence.

Non-core programmes such as drop-in service, interest groups, summer youth programmes and study/reading room service are also provided to offer opportunities for children and youth to spend their leisure time constructively.

All children and youth can approach the ICYSCs direct for enquiry and application.

Fees and Charges
The annual membership fee is $29 while the programme fee is subject to the nature of activities and the cost incurred.

Modernisation Programme of Integrated Children and Youth Services Centre (ICYSCs)
To strengthen youth services and benefit more young people, the Lotteries Fund and the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust  have earmarked a total of $400 million to jointly implement a modernization programme of ICYSCs.  ICYSCs will have greater flexibility to choose better fitting-out and furnishing materials, adopt a more creative design as well as purchase trendy furniture and equipment to make the centers more appealing to young people and better suit their needs.  From 2003 until September 2007, fund has been approved to 82 ICYSCs to undergo modernization.
