General Charitable Fund-raising Activities in Public Places

 

General charitable fund-raising activities cover activities such as -

    charity sale of badges, tokens or similar articles;

    door to door donation, especially in public housing estates;

    setting up donation boxes in stationed counters;

    charity ride; and

    passing of offering bags.

 

 

Applications for Public Subscription Permits (PSPs) for holding general charitable fund-raising activities in public places may be submitted throughout the year.  To be eligible for a PSP for organising charitable fund-raising activities in public places, the applicant should meet the eligibility criteria.
 

 

Details of the Application Procedures, Eligibility Criteria, Conditions of PSP, Other Points to Observe etc. are set out in the PSP Application Form and Explanatory Notes   Word Document (MS Word Document)  PDF Document  (PDF Document) .  If more space is required for providing details of the fund-raising events, please use the Proforma on Fund-raising Events  Excel Document (MS Excel Document)  PDF Document (PDF Document) and submit the soft copy.  Applicant organisations may make reference to the Locations in English and Chinese Reference Table       Excel Document (MS Excel Document)  PDF Document (PDF Document).  If the proposed location of the event is not on the list of the Reference Table, applicant organisations are required to provide the location in both English and Chinese. 
 

 

The completed application form, together with all required documents, should reach the Social Welfare Department at the following address not less than three weeks (but not more than 2 months) before the proposed event takes place.
