Integrated Vocational Rehabilitation Services Centre

Service Description
It provides people with disabilities one stop integrated and seamless vocational rehabilitation services in a training environment specially designed to accommodate the limitations arising from their disabilities, in which they can be provided vocational training, develop social and economic potential, achieve upward mobility in vocational rehabilitation, and prepare for potential advancement to open employment. The services provided by IVRSC include center-based and non-centre-based training, job finding, matching, coaching and follow-through support and other recreational and support services, etc. It is a welfare-oriented service without an employer - employee relationship between the service operators and trainees. Target service users of IVRSC will be the same as the current users of SW and SE, i.e. people with disabilities aged 15 and above with a need of sheltered work or in need of support to take up open employment.

Eligibility for the Service
People with disabilities aged 15 or above with a need of vocational training or in need of support to take up open employment.

Application Procedures
Referrals can be made by social workers or staff of rehabilitation service units to the Central Referral System for Rehabilitation Services of the Social Welfare Department.

Fees and Charges
The service is provided free-of-charge.
