The Elderly Branch has invited proposal for operating a Day Care Centre for the Elderly at Yau Lai Estate, Kwun Tong. The Briefing Session was held on 3.5.2012.

In order to benefit more eligible persons, the Community Care Fund has extended the application period of the assistance programme on "Subsidy for Elders who are on the Waiting List of Integrated Home Care Services (Ordinary Cases) for Household Cleaning and Escorting Services for Medical Consultations" until July 31, 2012.

Flag days in 2013-14 are open for application from 3 May 2012. The deadline for application is 4 June 2012. Application form can be downloaded here

The Elderly Branch has issued an invitation letter on 23 April 2012 to Non-governmental Organisations (NGOs) operating subvented community care services and/or residential care services for the elder for submitting proposal(s) to operate a 40-place Day Care Centre for the Elderly (DE) at Yau Lai Estate, Kwun Tong. Details of the Briefing Session and Site Visits are as follow:

Proposal should be submitted under seal to the Collection Box situated at Room 835, 8/F, Wu Chung House, 213 Queen's Road East, Wan Chai before 5:00 p.m. on 4 June 2012 (Monday). Late proposals, proposals by email or facsimile will not be accepted.

"The Jockey Club IT Scheme for People with Visual Impairment" (14th round) and "Central Fund for Personal Computers" (26th round) now accept applications. The deadline for both the Scheme and Fund is 1 June 2012.

Eligible organisations, educational institutes and individual persons with visual impairment may apply for "The Jockey Club IT Scheme for People with Visual Impairment" whereas "Central Fund for Personal Computers" is for eligible persons with disabilities engaging in self-employment or supported employment service at home.
