To help young people find suitable employment and training opportunity, Social Welfare Department collaborated with Labour Department and Employees Retraining Board to set up designated webpage in providing relevant employment opportunities and training resources, and invited the subvented NGOs to upload their job openings onto this webpage for easy access by the PW incumbents and the NGOs concerned

Mar 2013 Setting-up of new Integrated Family Service Centres (IFSCs) and re-naming of IFSCs in Kwun Tong (KT), Yuen Long (YL) and Kowloon City & Yau Tsim Mong (KC/YTM) Districts

To provide preventive, supportive and remedial family welfare services for individuals and families in need, it has been announced in the 2011-12 Policy Address that four new IFSCs will be set up in districts with greater service demand.  Further to the IFSC operated by non-governmental organisation (NGO) set up in Sham Shui Po last year, three new IFSCs will be set up in 2012-13 bringing the total number of IFSCs to 65.  Among these three IFSCs, the two set up in KT and YL operated by NGOs have commenced services on 28 January 2013 while the one set up in KC/YTM operated by the Social Welfare Department (SWD) will commence services on 25 February 2013.

Service Commencement of Hong Kong Family Welfare Society East Kowloon Centre Yau Tong IFSC and re-naming of SWD Kwun Tong IFSC in Kwun Tong (KT)

Upon setting-up of Hong Kong Family Welfare Society (HKFWS) East Kowloon Centre Yau Tong IFSC, there are a total of seven IFSCs in KT, including four operated by SWD and three by NGOs.  To align with the re-demarcation of geographical service boundaries among these seven IFSCs in KT, the original "Kwun Tong IFSC" of SWD is re-named as "Ngau Tau Kok IFSC" (NTKIFSC).  The service commencement of HKFWS East Kowloon Centre Yau Tong IFSC and re-naming of NTKIFSC have both taken effect on 28 January 2013.

Service Commencement of Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Long Love IFSC and re-naming of SWD Yuen Long (West) IFSC in Yuen Long (YL)

Upon setting-up of Tung Wah Group of Hospitals (TWGHs) Long Love IFSC, there are a total of six IFSCs in YL, including three operated by SWD and three by NGOs.  To align with the re-demarcation of geographical service boundaries among these six IFSCs in YL, the original "Yuen Long (West) IFSC" of SWD is re-named as "Yuen Long (Central) IFSC" [YL(C)IFSC].  The service commencement of TWGHs Long Love IFSC and re-naming of YL(C)IFSC have both taken effect on 28 January 2013.

Service Commencement of SWD Kai Tak IFSC and re-naming of SWD Kowloon City IFSC in Kowloon City and Yau Tsim Mong (KC/YTM)

Upon setting-up of SWD Kai Tak IFSC (KaiTIFSC), there will be a total of seven IFSCs in KC/YTM, including four operated by SWD and three by NGOs.  To align with the re-demarcation of geographical service boundaries among these seven IFSCs in KC/YTM, the original "Kowloon City IFSC" of SWD will be re-named as "Ma Tau Wai IFSC" (MTWIFSC).  The service commencement of SWD Kai Tak IFSC and re-naming of MTWIFSC will both take effect on 25 February 2013.

Mar 2013 Revision of Flat-rate Grant for Selected Items of School Related Expenses under the Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) Scheme
