Apr 2009 Task Group on Implementation of Integrated Family Service Centres

The Task Group on Implementation of Integrated Family Service Centres (IFSCs) (Task Group), comprising representatives from all the nine Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs) operating IFSCs, two NGOs operating the Integrated Services Centres in Tung Chung, 11 District Social Welfare Offices of Social Welfare Department (SWD) and the Hong Kong Council of Social Service, was formed in May 2004 to discuss on operational issues and common areas of concerns arising from the implementation of IFSCs.  A total of twenty-nine Task Group meetings have been held between May 2004 and April 2009.  You may retrieve the notes of the meetings in the following section:

Apr 2009 The Modernisation Package for Youth Service Units and Community Centres

Apr 2009 Application for "The Jockey Club IT Scheme for People with Visual Impairment" and/ or "Central Fund for Personal Computers"

"The Jockey Club IT Scheme for People with Visual Impairment" (8th round) and "Central Fund for Personal Computers" (20th round) now accept applications.  The deadline for both the Scheme and Fund is 29 May 2009.

 

Eligible organisations, educational institutes and individual persons with visual impairment may apply for "The Jockey Club IT Scheme for People with Visual Impairment" whereas "Central Fund for Personal Computers" is for eligible persons with disabilities engaging in self-employment or supported employment service.

Apr 2009 Briefing Session on Dementia Supplement

The Social Welfare Department held a briefing session on the proposed extension of Dementia Supplement to private residential care homes for the elderly participating in the Enhanced Bought Place Scheme on 6 April 2009 at Lady Trench Training Centre.
