Get Adobe Reader Downloading of the acrobat documents for reading and printing can be done through the use of the Adobe(R) acrobat(R) reader software which is available free at the Adobe Systems Inc. Website.

May 2009 Conversion to Calendar Month Basis in Paying Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA)

To make household budgeting easier for CSSA recipients, with effect from September 2009, all CSSA payment will be changed to calendar month basis and the pay day of recipients will also be changed to the first day of each month.

Recipients starting to receive CSSA from October 2000 onwards are not affected as payment is already made on calendar month basis.

May 2009 Invitation for Proposals to Operate New Pre-school Rehabilitation Project

May 2009 Task Group on Implementation of Integrated Family Service Centres

The Task Group on Implementation of Integrated Family Service Centres (IFSCs) (Task Group), comprising representatives from all the nine Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs) operating IFSCs, two NGOs operating the Integrated Services Centres in Tung Chung, 11 District Social Welfare Offices of Social Welfare Department (SWD) and the Hong Kong Council of Social Service, was formed in May 2004 to discuss on operational issues and common areas of concerns arising from the implementation of IFSCs.  A total of twenty-nine Task Group meetings have been held between May 2004 and April 2009.  You may retrieve the notes of the meetings in the following section:

May 2009 Application for "The Jockey Club IT Scheme for People with Visual Impairment" and/ or "Central Fund for Personal Computers"

"The Jockey Club IT Scheme for People with Visual Impairment" (8th round) and "Central Fund for Personal Computers" (20th round) now accept applications.  The deadline for both the Scheme and Fund is 29 May 2009.

 

Eligible organisations, educational institutes and individual persons with visual impairment may apply for "The Jockey Club IT Scheme for People with Visual Impairment" whereas "Central Fund for Personal Computers" is for eligible persons with disabilities engaging in self-employment or supported employment service.
