Dec 2009 Task Group on Implementation of Integrated Family Service Centres

The Task Group on Implementation of Integrated Family Service Centres (IFSCs) (Task Group), comprising representatives from all the nine Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs) operating IFSCs, two NGOs operating the Integrated Services Centres in Tung Chung, 11 District Social Welfare Offices of Social Welfare Department (SWD) and the Hong Kong Council of Social Service, was formed in May 2004 to discuss on operational issues and common areas of concerns arising from the implementation of IFSCs. A total of thirty-one Task Group meetings have been held between May 2004 and December 2009. You may retrieve the notes of the meetings in the following section:

Dec 2009 Invitation of Proposal to operate Victim Support Programme

The Family and Child Welfare Branch is now inviting bona fide charitable organisations with experience in providing services relating to family violence to submit proposals for the new service project to operate the Victim Support Programme (The Programme).  The Programme aims to enhance support service to victims of family violence, in particular those undergoing the judicial process.  

NGOs interested in operating the Victim Support Programme, please submit proposal with details on how to provide the services to meet the objectives and requirements set out in the Service Specification.  The Proposal, with pages not exceeding the requiring limit, has to be sent, in six hard copies and one soft copy in CD ROM (in MS Word 97 or above format), in a sealed envelope, by hand to Senior Social Work Officer (Domestic Violence) of Family and Child Welfare Branch, Social Welfare Department at Room 721, 7/F, Wu Chung House, 213 Queen’s Road East, Wan Chai, Hong Kong.

The deadline for submission of the proposal is 5:00 p.m. on 8 February 2010 (Monday).  Late submission will NOT be considered.  In case a rainstorm black warning or typhoon signal No. 8 is hoisted between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on the closing date, the closing time will be extended to 5:00 p.m. on the first ensuring working day. 

A briefing session on the invitation of proposal will be held with details as follows:

Time: 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Venue: Room 209, Lady Trench Training Centre,
44 Oi Kwan Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong
Quota: 2 representatives for each organisation

Dec 2009 Application for "Hong Kong Paralympians Fund"

Applications are invited for the following categories of grants under the Hong Kong Paralympians Fund. 

(a) Development of target sports (2010-11);
(b) Employment facilitating grant for retired athletes with disabilities (2010-12);
(c) Subsistence grant to athletes with disabilities (2010-11).

The deadline for (a) and (b) is 16 December 2009 and deadline for (c) is 4 January 2010.
