The Community Care Fund has launched the assistance programmes of "Subsidy for Elders who are on the Waiting List of Integrated Home Care Services (Ordinary Cases) for Household Cleaning and Escorting Services for Medical Consultations" and "Subsidy for Comprehensive Social Security Assistance Recipients Living in Rented Private Housing", both of which are administered by the Social Welfare Department.

The Social Welfare Department (SWD) has earlier invited eligible bona-fide non-profit making organisations to submit proposals to operate a self-financing residential care home for persons with intellectual disabilities in Tuen Mun District. A total of 4 proposals were received and a Vetting Committee (VC) was set up to conduct assessment of all the proposals. Upon the recommendation of the VC, SWD has selected Yang Memorial Methodist Social Service to operate the service.

The Social Welfare Department (SWD) has earlier invited non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to submit applications for operating the third batch of Child Development Fund (CDF) Projects (second-round invitation). Upon the recommendation of the Vetting Committee, SWD has selected two NGOs to operate a total of two CDF projects.

The Social Welfare Department (SWD) has earlier invited bona fide charitable organisations to submit proposals to operate the Neighbourhood Support Child Care Project (the "NSCCP"). SWD received a total of 24 proposals. Upon the recommendation of the Vetting Committee, SWD has selected 14 organisations to operate the NSCCP in 17 District Council districts. As regard to the two assistance programmes under the Community Care Fund, namely "Special Care Subsidy for the Severely Disabled" and "Subsidy for Tenant Purchase Scheme Flat Owners on Comprehensive Social Security Assistance", the Social Welfare Department starts issuing letters, enclosing the application form, to notify persons concerned from late September. Applicants are required to submit the application on or before November 30, 2011.
