Jan 2007 Invitation for Proposals to Operate Transitional Care and Support Centre for Tetraplegic Patients

The Rehabilitation and Medical Social Services Branch has issued an invitation letter dated 25 January 2007 to the NGOs (rehabilitation services) for their submission of quality proposal for the operation of a new project, namely Transitional Care and Support Centre for Tetraplegic Patients (TCSC).

Site visit and a briefing session will be held on 1 February 2007 (Thursday) with schedules as follows:

i. 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. - Site visit to the identified premises (G/F, Hang Yat House, Heng On Estate, Ma On Shan, Shaitn)
ii. 2:15 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. - Briefing session at Lecture Room 1, Sha Tin Town Hall

Service proposal of no more than 50 pages (A4 with font size at 12 and in 6 hard copies and 1 soft copy), should be sent on or before 9 March 2007 (Friday), 5:00 p.m. to the following address:

Jan 2007 Revision of Payment Rates under the Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) and Social Security Allowance (SSA) Schemes

The Finance Committee of the Legislative Council has approved an inflation-related increase of 1.2% in the rates of standard payments under the CSSA Scheme and the Disability Allowance under the SSA Scheme with effect from 1 February 2007.

 

The revised rates effective from 1 February 2007 are provided in the leaflets below :

Jan 2007 Executive Summary of the Report on "A Study to Evaluate the Effectiveness and User Satisfaction of the Re-engineered Centre-based Community Support Services for Elders"

Jan 2007 Revised Manual of Procedures of Central Referral System for Rehabilitation Services – Subsystem for Disabled Pre-schoolers (CRSRehab-PS)

For implementation of enhanced measures for rehabilitation services for pre-school children with effect from 8 December 2006, Rehabilitation & Medical Social Services Branch has revised the Manual of Procedures of CRSRehab - PS(December 2006).

Jan 2007 Task Group on Implementation of Integrated Family Service Centres

The Task Group on Implementation of Integrated Family Service Centres (IFSCs) (Task Group), comprising representatives from all the nine Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs) operating IFSCs, two NGOs operating the Integrated Services Centres in Tung Chung, 12 District Social Welfare Offices of Social Welfare Department (SWD) and the Hong Kong Council of Social Service, was formed in May 2004 to discuss on operational issues and common areas of concerns arising from the implementation of IFSCs.  A total of nineteen Task Group meetings have been held between May 2004 and November 2006.  You may retrieve the notes of the meetings in the following section:

Jan 2007 Feature Articles on Social Services in Yuen Long
