invitation letter dated 16 March 2007 to the NGOs (rehabilitation services) for
their submission of quality proposal for the following three projects of

The Study on Child Abuse and Spouse Battering (Part Two), commissioned by the Social Welfare Department (SWD) and funded by Lotteries Fund was conducted by the Department of Social Work Administration, University of Hong Kong. The whole study has been completed. The reports can be downloaded here.

| Voluntary Registration Scheme (VRS) for Private Residential Care Homes for the Disabled (Private homes)
Social Welfare Department has launched the VRS for the private homes with a view to encouraging the continuous improvement of their services. Under the Scheme, information of the applying private homes will be uploaded onto the Departmental webpage for public browsing when their services have met the requirements of the VRS. | Revision of Payment Rates under the Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) and Social Security Allowance (SSA) Schemes
The Finance Committee of the Legislative Council has approved an inflation-related increase of 1.2% in the rates of standard payments under the CSSA Scheme and the Disability Allowance under the SSA Scheme with effect from 1 February 2007. | Task Group on Implementation of Integrated Family Service Centres
The Task Group on Implementation of Integrated Family Service Centres (IFSCs) (Task Group), comprising representatives from all the nine Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs) operating IFSCs, two NGOs operating the Integrated Services Centres in Tung Chung, 12 District Social Welfare Offices of Social Welfare Department (SWD) and the Hong Kong Council of Social Service, was formed in May 2004 to discuss on operational issues and common areas of concerns arising from the implementation of IFSCs.
