| Application for "The Jockey Club IT Scheme for People with Visual Impairment" and/ or "Central Fund for Personal Computers"
The Jockey Club IT Scheme for People with Visual Impairment" (4th round) and "Central Fund for Personal Computers" (16th round) now accept applications. Eligible organisations, educational institutes and individual persons with visual impairment may apply for "The Jockey Club IT Scheme for People with Visual Impairment" whereas "Central Fund for Personal Computers" is for people with disabilities engaging in supported employment or self-employment. | Yuen Long District Social Services Information Booklet
To let residents acquire social services information easily, Yuen Long District Social Welfare Office has produced the "Yuen Long District Social Services Information Booklet" with the implementation of the "Yuen Long District Social Service Ambassadors Project", aiming at giving prompt and appropriate information to those residents living in Yuen Long for solving their social service enquiries and directing them to receive proper services. | Enrolled Nurse (General) / Enrolled Nurse (Psychiatric) Training Programme for the Welfare Sector
To meet the demand for Enrolled Nurses (General) and Enrolled Nurses (Psychiatric) in the welfare sector, the Social Welfare Department organises the third batch of a two-year full-time welfare-oriented Enrolled Nurse (General) / Enrolled Nurse (Psychiatric) Training Programme, and the Hospital Authority is commissioned to provide the training.
The programme will commence on 3 December 2007. Application for admission to the programme starts on 3 April 2007, and will be closed on 22 May 2007. The following documents can be downloaded here:

The Rehabilitation and Medical Social Services Branch has issued an invitation letter dated 16 March 2007 to the NGOs (rehabilitation services) for their submission of quality proposal for the following three projects of Community Rehabilitation Day Centres (CRDCs), namely:
(i) NTE CRDC at Ground Floor, Luk Chuen House, Lek Yuen Estate, Sha Tin, New Territories; (ii) NTW CRDC at Unit 1-6 & 9-16, Ground Floor, High Block, Wu Kwong House, Wu King Estate, Tuen Mun, New Territories: and (iii) Kowloon CRDC at Ground Floor (Portion), No. 4,Fuk Tong Road, Kwun Tong, Kowloon.

| Voluntary Registration Scheme (VRS) for Private Residential Care Homes for the Disabled (Private homes)
Social Welfare Department has launched the VRS for the private homes with a view to encouraging the continuous improvement of their services. Under the Scheme, information of the applying private homes will be uploaded onto the Departmental webpage for public browsing when their services have met the requirements of the VRS. The registered list under the VRS will be updated when necessary. | Task Group on Implementation of Integrated Family Service Centres
The Task Group on Implementation of Integrated Family Service Centres (IFSCs) (Task Group), comprising representatives from all the nine Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs) operating IFSCs, two NGOs operating the Integrated Services Centres in Tung Chung, 12 District Social Welfare Offices of Social Welfare Department (SWD) and the Hong Kong Council of Social Service, was formed in May 2004 to discuss on operational issues and common areas of concerns arising from the implementation of IFSCs.
