Highlights of the Year 2023-24

Departmental Information Technology Plan

The implementation of six IT projects has been completed, including enhancements to the IT Systems for Care Service Vouchers for the Elderly, the Client Information System Online Submission and the SWD Homepage, allowing the public and NGOs to obtain required information or apply for services conveniently.

Information Technology Strategy for the Social Welfare Sector

With support from the Joint Committee on Information Technology for the Social Welfare Sector, SWD continued to implement the strategy and action plan to promote IT development in the social welfare sector through different channels and measures, including:

1. adding relevant information and reference materials on Security Risk Assessment and Audit, and data security in the "NGO IT Information Portal"; and
2. continuously organising sharing sessions through the "Experience Sharing Platform for IT Projects in the Social Welfare Sector" and producing short videos to share good practices and experiences in the implementation of IT projects.
