In the past few months, the community is affected by the coronavirus outbreak, members of public lost their jobs and restricted by social distance, which has an adverse impact on people’s daily life.  It would no doubt make us a feeling of anxiety.  It is difficult for every one of us how we manage and react to the stressful situation unfolding so rapidly in our lives and communities. So, it is the time for us to learn to release negative emotions from adversity, and use positive thinking and positive attitudes to face the pressures in life.

Objectives: With a view to promoting caring values, enhancing cohesion in the community and positive psychology to residents of Tseung Kwan O (South) district, Wong Tai Sin and Sai Kung District Social Welfare Office together with the Network has launched the “Recognition Scheme of Good Persons & Good Deeds” (the Scheme) since 2012.  The Scheme was expanded to the whole Sai Kung district in 2013.
Content: We used the stories of the awarded episodes of “Good Persons, Good Deeds” in 2018 to produce 3 videos for further promoting the message of mutual care and positive value in the community

Content: Parents may feel stressful and restless on handling family conflicts related to different views of social events. With group sharing, talks, mindfulness experiential exercise and practice of Pastel Nagomi Art, etc, participants may release their emotion. Skill of enhancing the parent-children relationship will be shared in order to re-build the harmony family.
