Emergency Alarm System (EAS) is a kind of commercial activity provided by commercial or non-governmental organisations. The Social Welfare Department (SWD) has not authorised any company/organisation or arrange staff for sales of the services. For those who need to purchase an EAS can make direct enquiry to service providers as appropriate. SWD together with other Government Departments have produced a leaflet for elderly persons and people-in-need introducing EAS and points to note when they purchase the services. If there is suspicious of fraud, please seek assistance from the concerned Government Departments or organisations such as the Hong Kong Police Force or Consumer Council.
