- Services for victims of sexual violence

For victims of sexual violence such as victims of rape, indecent assault, etc., the designated social workers of the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals CEASE Crisis Centre will provide the following services:

1. 24-hour crisis intervention service;

2. co-ordination with the concerned departments/agencies to facilitate the victim to go through the procedures, if necessary, which include:
    

   1. immediate medical examination / treatment including pregnancy prevention and screening of sexually transmitted diseases  

   2. medical follow-up, such as treatment for sexually transmitted diseases, gynaecological treatment, HIV, etc.  

   3. report to the Police and statement-taking  

   4. forensic examination  

   5. other legal proceedings  

3. provision of support and company to the victims and their families throughout the process
4. referrals to other necessary services, e.g. psychological treatment, financial assistance and temporary accommodation, etc.; and
5. case consultation to frontline professionals handling sexual violence cases.
