Content

Through relaxing group games and mutual sharing of experiences, this programme provides caregivers of older adults with a space to relax physically and emotionally and to practise self-care. It aims to enhance their awareness of their own needs and encourage them to adopt practical self-care strategies in daily life, thereby strengthening their resilience in coping with everyday caregiving challenges.

  • To strengthen members’ sustained attention and impulse control, enabling them to stay focused and follow instructions effectively.
  • To enhance members’ emotional awareness, communication, and cooperation skills, helping them build positive interactions and maintain supportive peer relationships.
Content

This 7-session group uses fun multisensory awareness games as the main medium. Sessions 1–3 focus on attention training through progressive games such as visual tracking, sound detective, memory matching, and multi-step instruction activities. Sessions 4–7 focus on emotional regulation and social skills using CBT-informed emotion recognition exercises, breathing and self-soothing techniques, and cooperative team games. The group aims to help Primary 3–4 SEN students improve focus, manage emotions, reduce impulsive behaviours, and enhance peer cooperation through small, achievable successes.
