Tuen Mun Programme / Activities

• In response to the third-year theme of the “Care the Carers Campaign”, the Tuen Mun District Social Welfare Office of the Social Welfare Department, in collaboration with Lingnan University, the MTR Corporation, and the Tuen Mun Junior Police Call, organized the “Tuen Mun . Together”Carnival cum "Love．Connection" Photography Contest Award Ceremony at Tuen Mun Civic Square on 31 January 2026. 
• The Carnival aims to encourage carers and those being cared for to participate in community activities organized through collaboration with various sectors within the district, to promote close interaction among family members and mutual support at community level, and thereby create a carer-friendly environment with hopes and positive energy brought to carers in the district.

Five touching stories from carers of elderly persons, people with disabilities, and frontline staff from property management company are recorded in a series of videos to enhance the public’s understanding of the abilities and experiences of carers, and to promote carer-friendly community.

Youth performance, emerging sports experience booths, drug education and booth games

A total of 13 exchange sessions were organized for youth workers, including school social workers, social workers from integrated youth service centres.  Through visits to participating organizations, participants shared experiences and practical wisdom, fostering district-wide collaboration, enhancing the overall service effectiveness in the district, and creating opportunities for collaboration.

• In response to the second-year theme of the “Care the Carers Campaign”, the Tuen Mun District Social Welfare Office of the Social Welfare Department, in collaboration with Lingnan University, the MTR Corporation, and the Tuen Mun Junior Police Call, organized the "Tuen Mun．Together” Funfair (Funfair). The Funfair was sponsored by China Resources C'estbon Beverage (China) Company Limited and Ocean Park Corporation, with the MTR Corporation providing free-of-charge bus transportation services, fully exemplified the district’s effort in tripartite collaboration. 
• The Funfair provided carers with a chance to take a break, encouraged both carers and care recipients to participate in activities beneficial to their physical and mental well-being, and brought hope and positive energy to carers in the district.  Activities included a cheering zone for carers, competitive sports, booth games organized by various local welfare service units and groups, emerging sports, a Playright parent-child games area, inflatable recreational facilities, and youth performances.
