Senior Citizen Card
Introduction
The Senior Citizen Card provides a generally recognized proof of age to elderly persons so as to facilitate their access to concessions, discounts or priority services offered by Government departments, public transport, private and commercial establishments. The Scheme aims at promoting a spirit of respect for the senior citizens.
Eligible Applicants and Application Procedures
Hong Kong residents aged 65 or above are eligible to apply for the Senior Citizen Card. Please refer to the hyperlink below for the details of application procedures, download application form, distribution points of application form and service charges:
Senior Citizen Card Office
The Senior Citizen Card Office is responsible for the implementation of the Senior Citizen Card Scheme and the issue of the Senior Citizen Card.

Point to note
Please be alerted that the Senior Citizen Card is valid permanently. Therefore, renewal is not necessary and card holders do not need to inform the Senior Citizen Office for their change in address.
Concession information
All participating companies/organisations/Government departments are provided with copies of the adhesive logo of the Scheme for identification purpose. Elderly persons may consult shop assistant for concession information.
Priority service given by government departments, public organizations, banks, etc. is subject to actual service demand and operational need. Thank you for your attention.
The concession offered by different merchants / shops / organisations is subject to change from time to time. Senior Citizen Card holders shall enquire the merchants / shops / organisations about their prevailing concession offer when using the card. The merchants / shops / organisations shall reserve the right to confirm the offer of concession if there is different between the merchants / shops / organisations' offer of concession on Social Welfare Department's website / mobile application.
Senior Citizen Card Smartphone Applications (Apps)
SWD has launched the Senior Citizen Card (SCC) App, allowing service users to get access to the latest SCC concession information through their smartphones at any time and at any place. The App is now available on iPhone, Android and Huawei platforms. Users can download the App for free from iPhone App Store, Android Market or Huawei AppGallery by searching for 'Senior Citizen Card'.
Application Procedures for companies to join the Senior Citizen Card Scheme
Companies/organisation/Government departments that are interested can download the application form below and submit completed application form by mail, email or fax. Companies/organisation/Government departments can also apply by online application though GovHK. All participating companies/organisation/Government departments are provided with copies of the adhesive logo of the Scheme for identification purpose.
