Neighbourhood Support Child Care Project

Service Nature

  • Provide flexible child care services, and 
  • Foster mutual help and care in the community.
  • Service components: Home-based child care service and centre-based care group.

Service Target

  • Home-based child care service: Newborn to pre-primary school children and primary school children with ad-hoc or emergency care needs. 
  • Centre-based care group: Children from 3 years old to primary school level with ad-hoc or emergency care needs.

Service Hours

  • Home-based child care service: 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Centre-based care group: At least three sessions (each session lasts at least three consecutive full hours) on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and at least four sessions (each session lasts at least two consecutive full hours) on Saturdays/Sundays (except public holidays). 

Fees and Charges

  • Home-based child care service : $28 per hour.
  • Centre-based care group : $20 per hour.
  • Service users with social needs and financial hardship may approach service operators for fee waiving application.

Application

  • Direct application to service operators.

Home-based Child Carers

    

  • Home-based Child Carers should be caring, love children, have experience and competence in child care, and complete home environment assessment as well as a 14-hour basic training course.
  • To become Home-based Child Carer, you may approach the service operators direct for enquiries.
