Community Parents and Children Centre (CPCC)

Introduction

The Community Parents and Children Centre (CPCC) promotes parent-child relationship through purposely designed play activities and instills positive parenting skills in parents, renders support for families with parenting needs, and refers families with other needs to appropriate government and community services.

Service Target

Underprivileged families having children below 6, currently living in Eastern, Wong Tai Sin, Shatin and Yuen Long districts.

Service Content

CPCC provides a continuum of support services for families in need of parenting support due to social deprivation.  It provides centre-based, play-based and child-stimulating activities making use of specifically-designed facilities and programmes for families with children aged below 6.  In addition to the provision of intensive counselling and tailored groups and programmes, CPCC also outreaches and provides home-based training to enhance parenting capacities for needy families.  General centre services such as developmental/ supportive groups/ programmes are provided for children aged 6-12.
