Introduction
Commissioned non-governmental organisations operate Short-term Food Assistance Service Teams to help individuals and families who have short-term difficulties in coping with their daily food expenditure with the provision of basic food assistance normally for a period not exceeding 8 weeks.
Service Target
Individuals or families, including the unemployed, low-income earners, new arrivals and street sleepers, etc. who encounter sudden changes and immediate financial hardship.
Application and Eligibility Criteria
Applicants may contact the Short-term Food Assistance Service Team according to their place of residence and provide information such as their identity, residential and financial proof for eligibility assessment.
