Outreaching Service for Ethnic Minorities

Introduction

Commissioned three non-governmental organisations to set up 3 outreaching teams for ethnic minorities on mainly Hong Kong Island, in Kowloon and the New Territories to proactively reach out to ethnic minorities and connect those in need with mainstream welfare services for early identification and intervention through the provision of services.

Service Target

Ethnic Minorities include those from Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Thailand and Sri Lanka, exclude Non-Refoulement Claimants.
