Highlights of the Year 2024-25
The Partnership Fund for the Disadvantaged promotes tripartite partnership among the welfare sector, the business community, and the Government by providing matching grants to jointly support the disadvantaged. A total of 18 rounds of applications under the Regular Portion and 11 rounds under the Dedicated Portion had been launched. As at 31 March 2025, approximately $619 million in matching grants had been allocated under the Regular Portion, with the support of about 1 900 business partners, benefiting over 230 welfare non-governmental organisations (NGOs). Around 1 200 welfare projects were being implemented, serving over 1 million disadvantaged persons. Moreover, the Fund, together with about 500 business partners, supported nearly 70 welfare NGOs and 100 schools by allocating around $365 million in matching grants under the Dedicated Portion. This had facilitated the implementation of 580 after-school learning and support projects for primary and secondary students from grassroots families, benefiting nearly 140 000 students.
