Departmental Information Technology Plan
In accordance with the Departmental Information Technology Project Portfolio formulated in 2021, SWD completed four information technology (IT) projects, with another 23 still in progress, between April 2021 and March 2022 to enhance service delivery and IT security, etc.
Information Technology Strategy For The Social Welfare Sector
Upon the completion of the Final Report on the Review of the Information Technology Strategy for the Social Welfare Sector in Hong Kong 2021, SWD held a briefing session to share the findings of the review with the welfare sector in August 2021. To take forward strategies and recommendations in the Final Report, SWD formed a Task Group composed of information technology (IT) professionals as well as representatives from the academia and the social welfare sector to devise a follow-up action plan. With the endorsement of the action plan by the Joint Committee on Information Technology for the Social Welfare Sector, a series of measures and tasks have been taken forward by SWD to promote continuous IT development in the social welfare sector.
