School social work service aims to identify and help students with academic, social or emotional problems, maximise their educational opportunities, develop their potentials and prepare them for adulthood. The service is provided by school social workers of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) for secondary school students.

As at 1 September 2022, 34 NGOs operate stationing school social work service for 462 secondary day schools over the territory.

Operating Hours of School Social Work |

School social work provides stationing service at schools. Generally speaking, the operating hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Given that the operating hours of schools and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) may be different to suit operational needs, please contact individual school and NGO for its operating hours.
