1. Application of Tranche 12 (October 2025 to January 2026)
The Twelfth Tranche of the Innovation and Technology Fund for Application in Elderly and Rehabilitation Care (I&T Fund) is open for application from 8 October 2025 (Wednesday) to 9 January 2026 (Friday) 5:00 p.m.
This Tranche ONLY opens to private and self-financing residential care homes for the elderly and persons with disabilities not receiving subsidies from the Social Welfare Department.

Introduction
The Government earmarked $1 billion for setting up the Innovation and Technology Fund for Application in Elderly and Rehabilitation Care (I&T Fund) in December 2018 to subsidise eligible elderly and rehabilitation service units to procure, rent and trial use technology products, so as to improve the quality of life of service users as well as reduce the burden and pressure of care staff and carers. In 2024-25, the Government injected an additional $1 billion into the I&T Fund to enhance subsidies for eligible elderly and rehabilitation service units to procure, rent or trial technology product, as well as to expand the scope of the I&T Fund to cover technology products suitable for household use.
The Assessment Panel (AP) of the I&T Fund will examine and advise on the applications for the I&T Fund and recommends the amount of grants.
Eligibility
All service units from NGOs and private organisations receiving subsidies from SWD and providing residential care services for elderly and persons with disabilities, community care and support services for the elderly or day rehabilitation and community support services for persons with disabilities (PWDs) are eligible to make application. The application for procurement and rental of technology products has been extended to all non-subsidised private and self-financing residential care homes for the elderly and persons with disabilities from Tranche 8 launched in September 2022 onwards.
